Ally Dawson is a 15-year old shy and talented girl from Miami. She is transferred to the town of Whitechapel with her boyfriend, Austin Moon, for a three year school exchange program.

Ally is a shy type of person who has a case of stage fright. She also really cares about helping her friends which often puts her in uncomfortable, but hilarious, situations. She chews her hear and talks a lot when she gets nervous. She doesn't like it when people touch her journal/songbook/diary and always says "Don't touch my book!". Unlike Austin, Ally pays very close attention to her surroundings, which made it easy for her to realize what really is happening to the town of Whitechapel. She, like Austin, discovers something that her parents or grandparents had never mentioned to her. Ethan helps her uncover the secret.
